I braided my hair a few months ago and after taking down the braids my hair edges became very thin. For about 2 months I attempted mostly twist outs, wash and go's and pinups without laying my edges flat with styling gel. As a result this is one of the styles I came up with.
1. I started out with an old Wash and Go (Click Here for Wash n Go Tutorial) and sprayed lightly some water to moisten my hair.
2. After applying water I placed olive oil in my hands and rubbed it evenly throughout my hair strands.
3. Now it is time for styling. I start from the back whilst stroking my hair up for pinning. I take pins and stick them into the big chucks or sections that I gather in an upward position.
4. I repeat step #3 until I have a complete pin up without using a hair band.
5. Ensure you brush your edges if needed.
