How does Spirulina taste?

So there's the Spirulina song by Jamaican Reggae Artiste, Chronixx, well, that is the first time I have ever heard of the herb or plant based leaf, or so I think. I thought it was a leaf. 

After having decided to eat a vegan diet, I visited Fancy Fruits Health'staurant for a fruit smoothie, packed with protein and they recommended adding Spirulina in powered form. It made the colour of my smoothies very green, but to my pleasant surprise, it had no taste in my opinion.

 

I tried it again from another place called Fruits Gallery and it was just a tasteless. Eating healthy doesn't have to be hard, especially when you have to get all your greens in.

I thought Spirulina was a tree, but it is a sea weed and seems to be widely available in powder form. Here is what the Online Oxford Dictionary says about it:

A genus of filamentous cyanobacteria in which the filaments are characteristically spiral in shape. They are capable of gliding motility. They are found in freshwater and marine habitats, mostly in warmer regions; and are also found in hot springs. Spirulina is collected and used as food in the region of Lake Chad, Africa.

The awful truth is... I didn't tell you the whole truth... How many types of truths are they?

I never looked at being brutally honest in this light before. I always put the things said by those who are honest at very high regard, but of late I am beginning to re-evaluate this regard by concluding that there are in fact and indeed two types of truths.

Let me explain. Let us say someone borrowed money from me as an example for the first type of truth and the money that person borrowed was stolen. Sincerely, that person is going to come to me and say that they were robbed and now they need some time to find the money they borrowed from me back. An example about the second type of truth would be about someone who again, borrowed money from me, but this person spent the money they got back to give me lavishly and instead of keeping that money and giving me back, they come to me with some story or the other explaining why they can't give it back to me right now.

Now with those two examples mentioned previously, we see where we have two truths. Another thing about the second truth is that, while the person tells you the truth they only tell you what they think you should know and not everything about the situation.

When it comes to relationships, it is important to understand each other and if you understand each other, it will be so much easier to get along. In fact, when you know a person for who they are and what they stand for, it can better aid us in determining if that relationship is best suited for us.

A fun night in Kingston, Jamaica! Who knew that this was the best Island Grill? Watch until the end

My very good friends and I went out to celebrate Jason's birthday. Usually we would go to different places to eat. This year we decided to go to either Usain Bolt's Tracks and Records or some other place like that to eat. 

The plan was for us to let Mandeville which is in the centre of the island of Jamaica at 7:30pm and head for Kingston, Jamaica's capital which is about 1 to 2 hours away. Unfornately, we left Mandeville a little after 10pm instead and got to Kingston after 11pm.

We thought because it was not only Kingston, but also a holiday night as it was going to be Heroes Day the following day we could have easily found a place to eat even at that hour, but to our surprise the only place that was available wasn't a suitable environment for me, as I am Seventh-day Adventist Christian.

Th truth is that I would have eaten anywhere as we were hungry and eating in a club wouldn't mean that I promiscuously went there. I always use those opportunities to witness to someone. So I wasn't stressing it.

In the end, we drove around Kingston for 2 or more hours and ended up eating at Island Grill. Can you imagine. lol. All dressed up to at at Island Grill and as much as we didn't want to eat there because the Island Grill in Mandeville isn't very tasty to us, we took a chance and ate and surprisingly it was well received.

Noisy River, Manchester, Jamaica.

I visited the Noisy River in the parish of Manchester on Saturday, October 1, 2016, after we had come from church at the Auctembeddie Seventh-day Adventist Church. 

Some say that the correct name for the river is Oxford River, I guess to be name after the Oxford District or the Oxford Bridge, who knows.

I have never heard of Jesus

Moments ago I was about to step out of the door of my home and upon stepping out I was startled by two Indian men. One of them I recognized immediately as the Indian I stopped a distance away from my home yesterday, telling him he could get Chapati (traditional Indian Roti) from me to purchase.

Upon realizing that they came for Roti, I expressed that I close early on Fridays because I am a Sabbath Keeper. They looked at each other, confused and looked back at me. I said, "have you ever heard of the Sabbath?" They both shook their heads in curiousity and said no. I told them just as how they are Hindu, I am a Sabbath Keeper and I worship my God on the Seventh day of the week. They then smiled and said ok, but still they have no clue what it is all about. 

I took their number to add them to the Roti Darling database. I hope they can see Jesus and His saving mercies and accept Him in time.
